Showme Greyhounds was started in October 2007 by Paul Carpenter. After moving from Florence, Alabama to St.Louis, Missouri, Paul has started another one of his life-long dreams.. investing in racing greyhounds (the other dream was to obtain his Private Pilot’s License, which was accomplished on 9/22/07)
Paul was a Lead-Out at Wheeling Downs, for 2 years back in the mid 1980’s, before career decisions took him to Atlanta. Of course, like many, it was the actual wagering at the track previously that sparked his interest in the industry. While living in the Dixie, he frequented many tracks: Victoryland, Birmingham(where he saw his first horse put down, on the track), Southland, Orange Park, Tampa and others.
